What Does P Mean?
The letter P refers to the product model. Any VIVIDSTORM screen carrying the P designation uses a perforated acoustic transparent (AT) design, allowing sound from speakers placed behind the screen to pass through.
🔎 How It Works
For Ultra Short Throw (UST) ALR screens, only the black border area is perforated, so the image quality of the viewing surface remains unaffected.
For Obsidian ALR and White Cinema screens, the entire screen surface is perforated, which makes them suitable for acoustic transparency setups with speakers directly behind the image.
⚠️ Important Note
It is not recommended to place fully perforated screens (like Obsidian ALR or White Cinema) in front of a window.
Because the screen surface itself is perforated, light can pass through the holes, reducing brightness and contrast of the projected image.
