A screen is not a generic surface. Start with the projector type, ambient light, installation direction and the experience you want when the system is turned off.
Match the surface to the steep light path.
Ultra-short-throw systems such as Hisense, AWOL, Epson LS800 and Formovie generally need a screen material designed for the UST projection angle. In a brighter living room, a UST ALR surface can help preserve contrast. In a darker room—or with a lower-brightness projector—White Cinema may produce a more natural, brighter image.

A long-throw ALR material can help in spaces with modest ambient light, while a dedicated dark room may benefit more from White Cinema. For RGB triple-laser projectors that can produce visible speckle, request a sample and judge the material from the real viewing distance before committing.

Projector throw ratio, lens position, screen size, cabinet dimensions, platform travel and screen material all need to agree. A ready-made Bundle—or a Build Your Bundle configuration supported by your projector model and room measurements—can simplify that matching process.

Make the offer serve the room
Four checks before checkout.
The biggest percentage is not automatically the best upgrade. Compatibility decides whether the saving becomes a better cinema—or a more expensive return.
UST and long-throw screens are not interchangeable.
Confirm the throw architecture first. The light path determines which screen structures and optical layers are appropriate.
“More anti-light” is not a universal answer.
ALR can help in brighter rooms, but a White Cinema surface may look brighter and more natural in a controlled dark space.
RGB laser speckle deserves a real sample.
Material texture, laser architecture and viewing distance can affect visible speckle. Evaluate a sample from the seat, not from ten centimetres away.
Cabinet, screen and lens must share the same plan.
Measure the room, confirm screen size, lens position, platform travel, cabinet clearance and installation direction before ordering a system.
The best home cinema does not ask the room to stop being a home.
